Eric has a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Dartmouth College, where his MS research in battery management system diagnostics led to the formation of Hive Battery Labs. He has significant experience in power electronics, instrumentation, and embedded systems for battery test equipment.
MATT MURBACH, PhD
Matt has a PhD in Chemical Engineering w/ Advanced Data Science from the University of Washington. His PhD research focused on the physics-based modeling of impedance for lithium-ion batteries and he has experience developing software for battery management and impedance analysis.
Hannah has a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, where she developed a power electronics-based energy storage system for marine hydrokinetic turbines.
Pierre-Jean has an Ingenieur license in Chemistry from ESCOM in France, following which he has worked in the laboratory testing lead-acid and Li-ion batteries. His passion for instrumentation led him to several battery testing companies, making him our resident industry veteran. Pierre-Jean is currently General Manager of Omerin USA, manufacturer of extreme application cables and wires.
CHRISTOPHER SCHAEF, PhD
Chris received his PhD in power electronics from Dartmouth college in 2016. Currently, he is a Power Delivery Researcher in the Circuits Research Laboratory at Intel Corporation. His research interests are in power management, energy harvesting and highly integrated dc-dc converters.
JASON STAUTH, PhD
Jason received his PhD in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 2008. He co-founded a photovoltaics power management company out of his academic work which was acquired in 2009. He is currently a Professor at Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College.
