Hive Battery Labs wins 3rd place at LG Chem’s the Battery Challenge, a competition soliciting new battery technologies to which 129 teams across 27 countries applied.

Eric presents at NAATBatt Annual Meeting panel entitled “New Approaches to Battery Testing and Formation.”

NOVEMBER

Five channel EIS cycler prototype used in automotive OEM collaboration for formation diagnostics proof-of-concept project.

SUMMER

Hive Battery Labs participates in the Cascadia Cleantech Accelerator.

FEBRUARY

National Science Foundation awards SBIR Phase II to develop impedance-based Li-ion battery formation diagnostics.

2016

JUNE

Hive Battery Labs spins out of academia, funded by National Science Foundation SBIR Phase I Award.

2015

JULY

Proof-of-concept BMS diagnostics published in IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics.

2014

SEPTEMBER

Research begins in a power electronics research group at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College.
